PAD Chartered Architects are a South West London based RIBA Architectural practise. Combining their 40 years of experience, Paul Hughes and David Shaw formed PAD Architects in 2010 to create a new architectural practise specialised in providing bespoke residential and commercial design from feasibility studies right through to completion on site. Based in Putney, South West London, PAD work across all London boroughs and have extensive, practical knowledge of local planning policies and procedures. Recent work on domestic and commercial projects have been completed in the boroughs of: Kensington & Chelsea, Merton, Lambeth, Hammersmith & Fulham, Richmond-upon- Thames, Westminster, Ealing, Southwark, Kingston-upon- Thames, Merton and their local borough of Wandsworth.

PAD are committed to tailoring each project to the particular needs of you and the site, allowing for a creative, personal, yet realistic, fully budgeted scheme. We will talk you through all the stages of work, helping you to take ownership of your project and allowing you to be as involved in the journey and design process as much or as little as you wish to be. We offer solutions to tricky spaces, advice on design and finishes and a huge knowledge of planning policy and possible project pit-holes that would otherwise be missed. We meet you at your home for an informal chat about your dreams and aspirations and once a scheme is designed, we produce both 2D and 3D drawings for you to get a real sense of what your finished home will look like. We are always available to have a chat through the design, over the phone, at your home or at our offices in Putney. Once you’re 100% happy with how your new home will look, we submit this scheme with comprehensive supportive documents to your local planning department and see this application through with regular discussions with the planning case officer. We then develop these planning drawings into working drawings (construction drawings) which are what your builder will need to use on site to build your home. We can offer advice on contractors, party wall, building control, CDM and guidance on what can feel like an overwhelming myriad of consultants. When the project is on site we can conduct site visits to oversee the work and value the work as the build progresses. Our full service allows us to be a part of your project from beginning to end and ensure you are completely happy with your finished new home.
